the remains of someone in a building and that could take days or possibly weeks to do a department n amount analysis or -- dna analysis depending on the condition of the body. >> reporter: a man matching dorner's description was spotted by a california fish and game officer. >> the warden in front realized -- noticed a white truck driving erratic radcally at a high rate of speed -- eradically at a high rate of speed he was drawn to this and looked at the driver and recognized him as a suspect. >> reporter: the warden bandoning the. >> carl: jacking another and taking off into the woods -- abandoning the car, car jabbing another and take off into the woods. >> law enforcement agencies is is a brotherhood and that is difficult day for law enforcement. >> reporter: a s.w.a.t. team stormed the cabi and smock -- cabben and smoke devices weredetonated.

on facebook seem to. well if you are traveling on 95 here in harford county, no delays. it's going to be clear from route 152 all the way down to white marsh and as we check in and look live at 695, here in parkville, traffic is moving along. no delays whatsoever and as you travel outer loop from 95 all the way up to 83. that stretch will take you 11 minutes and looking at the other abc2 timesaver traffic drive times the jfx is going to be free of any delays heading downtown. you are looking at an 11 minute ride southbound from the beltway down to east fayette street and everything up to speed through the fort mchenry tunnel taking 8 minutes to travel northbound on a 95 from the beltway all the way to the toll plaza. that's a look at your morning commute. now over to you. news time 4 minutes after 6. we have more on a developing story. we are learning more about a police officer training who was -- trainee who was shot in the head and how he is doing this morning. linda so is live at shock

trauma. >> reporter: the officer underwent surgery last night and remains in stable but very grave condition. we are told the officer was shot in the head during the training exercise. still a. lot of unanswered -- still, a lot of unanswered questions. in the meantime, police commissioner has suspend all training exercises until the investigation is complete. the officer trainee was shot by a baltimore city police instructor during the training exercise in owings mills yesterday afternoon. the police commissioner would not say why live rounds were being used during the session. the injured officer works for the university of maryland as a campus police officer. he is in his 40s and this was his first police job which he started back in july. commissioner says all training operations will be suspended until he gets answers. >> i will probably have more questions than you and it will take sometime to get the answers to the questions. >> reporter: the chief surgeon at shock trauma says the officer is in stable but grave

say he suffered from mental illness and his family lives in the rosedale neighborhood in baltimore. police are trying to figure out the exact illness and what medication he was taking. the university officials say that green was not treated for mental illness at their health care facilities nor were they aware of his condition. police say he is the gunman who killed one of his roommates and injured another before killing himself outside the college park home on tuesday. all three were student at the university of maryland. green was a graduate student. police say the 9 millimeter handgun used in the killing was bought legally in baltimore county. he had the handgun in his waistband at the time of theshooting. the atf is looking at the stash of weapons he fiend a fully load semi-automatic weapon discovered in a long bag. -- he had a fully loaded semi- automatic weapon discovered in

switching to snow as we go through the evening. and then on the backside we will have more snow by tomorrow morning. we look at abc2's most accurate future trend it picks up what's going on. watching the rain-snow line. that's always the name. as we check out what's going on in terms of prohe greg of this, well -- progression of this, on the backside we have snow prevailing and slick roads early tomorrow morning. so it's going to be a dicey commute then and today, take advantage of the dry roadways because we have change in the forecast. we look at the planner 45 degrees will be the high temperature today. and with that temperature coming in at 45, the roads are going to be warm. so not a whole lot accumulating on the roads. maybe slushy accumulations but maybe snow one to three inches along the grassy surfaces. we look at the 7-day forecast and look at cupid, he has his arrow and we will see what happens on thursday many we dry out nicely throughout the day and windy and cold for the weekend. let's check the abc2 timesaver traffic with lauren cook. >> reporter: good morning.

i can't believe we are talking about snow again. it was so warm yesterday. well if you are heading out on 95, no delays here at 195. you won't have problems traveling from howard county all the way to downtown baltimore. 695 is really starting to slow down as we check in and look live at the west side at liberty road, the problem is going to be the outer loop. there's 4-minute delay as you travel from 795 down to 70. and nice and clear conditions on the east side as we pull up the abc2 timesaver traffic drive times. an 11-minute ride on outer loop from 95 up to 83. and the inner loop will be clear from towson to 95. head being downtown, the jfx is nice and clear. it's going to take 12 minutes traveling south from the beltway to east fayette street. that's a look at your morning commute. now over to you. 17 minutes after 6. we have important news for all you expectant moms taking folic acid may help reduce the risk of autism in children. researchers in norway look at
